The refreshed 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class builds on the major midcycle update introduced for the standard Mercedes-Benz S-Class, bringing a quieter but meaningful evolution to one of the world’s most prestigious luxury sedans. While the exterior changes appear modest at first glance, the flagship Maybach model receives thousands of upgraded components along with new lighting signatures, enhanced digital systems, and expanded personalization options aimed squarely at ultra luxury buyers.

Visually, the latest Maybach S-Class maintains its familiar silhouette but introduces refined front and rear styling details, redesigned wheels, and new illuminated exterior elements that strengthen its road presence. A light outline surrounding the grille, backlit Maybach lettering, and optional illuminated hood ornament add a distinctive nighttime signature. Even the Maybach emblems on the rear pillars can now glow, reinforcing the vehicle’s identity as the most exclusive version of the S-Class lineup.

Inside the cabin, luxury continues to be the central focus. The vehicle now comes standard with the Superscreen digital display setup that stretches across the dashboard beneath a single glass panel, combining the main infotainment system with a dedicated passenger screen. Updated graphics featuring rose gold accents distinguish the Maybach interface from standard Mercedes models, while the newest operating system integrates an advanced AI powered voice assistant supported by multiple AI providers for improved responsiveness.

Rear seat comfort remains the defining highlight of the Maybach experience. The extended wheelbase delivers additional legroom primarily for rear passengers, complemented by reclining executive seats, fold out work tables, entertainment controls, and secure holders for champagne flutes. Electrically operated rear doors and repositioned cooled wireless charging pads further enhance convenience for passengers who expect a chauffeur level experience in daily use.

Under the hood, the 2027 model continues to prioritize large displacement engines that match expectations in this segment. Buyers can choose between a revised 4.0 litre twin turbo mild hybrid V8 producing 530 horsepower or a flagship 6.0 litre twin turbo V12 delivering 621 horsepower. Both engines pair with a nine speed automatic transmission and standard all wheel drive, while an upgraded air suspension system now uses cloud connected data from other Mercedes vehicles to prepare the chassis for upcoming road imperfections before the wheels reach them.

Customization remains one of the strongest selling points of the Maybach S-Class. Standard two tone paint can be ordered in roughly 150 exterior finishes, while more than 400 interior color combinations are available. For customers seeking deeper personalization, Mercedes offers additional bespoke options through its Manufaktur program. Pricing has not yet been officially confirmed, but estimates suggest the sedan will start around $230,000 when it reaches showrooms in fall 2026.
