Porsche has introduced the new Porsche 911 GT3 S/C for the 2027 model year, marking the first time the high performance GT3 lineup will be offered in a convertible configuration. The new Sport Cabriolet model blends components from several iconic 992 generation variants to create a lightweight, track inspired open roof version designed for drivers who want both performance and exclusivity.

At the heart of the GT3 S/C is Porsche’s naturally aspirated 4.0 litre flat six engine producing 502 horsepower and revving up to 9,000 rpm. The vehicle accelerates from zero to 60 miles per hour in approximately 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of about 194 miles per hour. Unlike many modern performance cars, the GT3 S/C will be available only with a six speed manual transmission, reinforcing its focus on driver engagement rather than automation.

The new model combines suspension tuning from the GT3 Touring with lightweight construction techniques inspired by the limited production 911 S/T. Carbon fiber doors and fenders, magnesium wheels measuring 20 inches in front and 21 inches in the rear, and carbon ceramic brakes all contribute to improved handling performance. It also becomes the first open roof 911 model to feature Porsche’s double wishbone front suspension system.

Inside the cabin, Porsche emphasizes weight reduction and motorsport styling with lightweight carpeting, carbon fiber interior components, fabric door release pulls, and a perforated leather wrapped steering wheel. The GT3 S/C is configured strictly as a two seat vehicle, echoing earlier Speedster inspired models and offering optional carbon shell bucket seats for additional performance focused support.

The convertible fabric roof includes magnesium reinforcement panels to reduce weight and can open or close in roughly 12 seconds. Pricing for the 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C starts at approximately 275,350 dollars, and the model is expected to arrive at North American dealerships in fall 2026 as a distinctive addition to the evolving 911 performance lineup.
