Deportations and Reasons
In a separate query, it was revealed that 48 Indian students were deported from the US over the past three years. The reasons for deportation, though not officially shared by US authorities, could include unauthorized employment, withdrawal from classes, expulsion, suspension, and failure to report optional practical training employment.
Government’s Stance
Kirti Vardhan Singh assured that providing safety and security to Indian students abroad remains a top priority. Indian missions and posts abroad are in regular contact with Indian students enrolled in foreign universities to provide necessary support and ensure their safety.
