Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau, in collaboration with Toronto Police and Halton Police, have charged two persons in connection to a series of armed convenience store robberies occurring across the GTA.
It is alleged that between December 30, 2023, and January 16, 2024, the suspects attended several convenience stores throughout Peel, Toronto, and Halton Region. In each Robbery, the suspects wore disguises to conceal their identities and were armed with firearms. The suspects demanded money and lottery tickets during the robberies.
Fortunately, none of the victims involved in any of the incidents suffered any physical injuries.
Through the collaborative efforts of Peel, Toronto, and Halton Police Services, the suspects were identified and arrested.
David Nakale, 25-years-old from Mississauga has been charged with five counts of Robbery with a Firearm and five counts of Wearing a Disguise. He appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing on January 23, 2023.
Aaron Wisniewski, 23-years-old from Brampton has been charged with seven counts of Robbery with a Firearm and seven counts of Wearing a Disguise.
He appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing on February 7, 2024.
This investigation remains ongoing and police anticipate more charges could be laid.
