Canada’s Wonderland has confirmed that a chaperone requirement for younger visitors will remain in place throughout the 2026 operating season, making permanent a measure first introduced last year. The Vaughan amusement park says the policy is designed to maintain a safe and family friendly environment as the new season begins.
Under the updated rules, guests aged 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older if they wish to enter or remain inside the park after 4 p.m. The policy applies daily during the 2026 season and reflects a broader effort to improve guest safety during peak evening hours.
Park officials also clarified that each chaperone may supervise no more than 10 visitors aged 15 or under. Management stated the decision aligns with expectations from families who visit the park and reflects evolving safety practices across the amusement park industry.
Canada’s Wonderland first tested a similar restriction in September during its Halloween Haunt programming. At the time, younger guests were required to leave the park by 6 p.m. unless accompanied by an adult, following concerns about disruptive behaviour reported at several large entertainment venues.
In a statement announcing the permanent change, Canada’s Wonderland said the updated policy supports its commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming experience for visitors. The theme park is scheduled to open its 2026 season on May 3.
