Ingredients:
- 4 cups grated carrots
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp ghee
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- 10-12 cashews, chopped
- 10-12 raisins
Instructions:
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat ghee and add grated carrots. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until they soften.
- Pour in the milk and cook on low heat until the milk is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook until the halwa thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
- Garnish with cashews and raisins, and serve warm.
