- 4 mutton paya (goat trotters)
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
- Clean and wash the mutton paya thoroughly.
- In a pressure cooker, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add mutton paya and mix until they are well coated with the spices.
- Add water as needed to cover the paya and pressure cook for about 30-40 minutes until the paya is tender.
- Once cooked, sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or naan, accompanied by lemon wedges.
