INQUEST INTO THE DEATH OF ARIAN PRISTINE ANNOUNCED

Ministry of the Solicitor GeneralDr. Joel Kirsh, Regional Supervising Coroner, Toronto Region, Toronto Central
Office, has announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Arian
Pristine.
Mr. Pristine, 35 years old, died on June 8, 2020, following an interaction with
officers from York Regional Police that occurred on the same day. An inquest
into his death is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Pristine’s death. The
jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.
Further details regarding the inquest, including the date and venue, will be
provided at a later date.
