Japanese Teriyaki Chicken with Sticky Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken thighs (boneless, skin-on)

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp mirin

  • 2 tbsp sake

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, and sesame oil to make the sauce.

  2. Sear chicken skin-side down until crisp. Flip and cook other side.

  3. Pour sauce into the pan. Simmer and reduce until thick and glossy.

  4. Slice and serve over steamed rice with sauce drizzled on top.
