Ingredients:
- 500g taro root, peeled and sliced
- Oil, for frying
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Tamarind chutney
- Green chutney
- Yogurt, beaten
- Fresh coriander, chopped, for garnish
- Pomegranate seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Boil the taro slices until just tender, then drain and pat dry.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the taro slices until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the fried taro with chaat masala, red chili powder, and salt.
- Arrange the spiced taro on a plate. Drizzle with tamarind chutney, green chutney, and beaten yogurt.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and pomegranate seeds (if using) before serving.
