A resident of western Michigan concluded his day with an astonishing revelation – he had become a millionaire by winning a $3.4 million Lotto 47 Jackpot.
The fortunate 62-year-old matched the winning Lotto 47 numbers, 01-11-22-28-43-47, on October 25.
He had purchased his winning ticket on the Michigan Lottery’s official website.
“I have a habit of purchasing my Lotto 47 tickets online,” the player explained. “One night, I logged into my account and noticed a pending amount of $3.4 million. That’s when it dawned on me that I must have won the Lotto 47 jackpot. I was so thrilled that I woke up my wife to share the news. At first, she was worried, thinking something bad had occurred, until I showed her the prize amount pending in my Lottery account. It was an incredibly surreal moment, and we were both utterly stunned!”
The fortunate player opted to claim his prize in annuity payments, receiving approximately $113,000 annually over the next 30 years instead of a one-time payment of roughly $2.3 million.
