Nepali National Flag Hoisted at Ontario Provincial Parliament Queen’s Park

Toronto, Nepalese national flag was hoisted  recently at Legislative Assembly of Ontario Queen’s park marking the 7th  Nepalese constitution day. The flag was jointly hoisted by NRNA Canada President Mr. Deepak Gautam and Vice President Ms. Sangita G. C. followed by national anthems of Canada and Nepal.

Addressing  the program,  Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario Hon. Ted Arnott praised Nepal  for managing to  stay uncolonized  nation since its history. Hon. Arnott also expressed his pleasure to  be a part of the joyous day of Nepalese residing across  Canada.

 
 Speaking at the program, Member of Provincial Parliament  Hon. Deepak Anand  (Mississauga-Malton) said  that he considered Nepalese  always  as a part  of  the family. MPP Anand also conveyed that he felt very pleasured and proud to be associated with this very event. Another guest, Member of Provincial Parliament  Hon. Bhutila  Karpoche (Parkdale-High Park) revealed that as she was born  and raised in Nepal, she has special feeling and attachment with   Nepal and Nepalese people. MPP Karpoche  apprised with contentment that her riding being  comprised  of remarkable Nepalese people currently.

Facilitating the program, NRNA  North America’s Youth Coordinator Ms. Bimala Sapkota explained about the event. At the program,  a message from Nepalese Ambassador to Canada His Excellency Bhrigu Dhungana  was read out in which HE Dhungana  appreciated  Canada for the cooperation extended   in the social and economic field of Nepal. Host of speakers including  President Gautam shed  light  on  the significance of the program.  At the program, Speaker Hon. Ted Arnott, MPPs Hon. Anand and Hon. Karpoche handed over memorial certificate to NRNA Canada President Mr. Deepak Gautam.  The program was attended by  representatives from various Nepalese  organizations and other individuals.
