AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to deliver a forceful response to Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, calling the neighbouring country a “failed state” that should “think 100 times” before threatening India again. Speaking at public meetings over the weekend, Owaisi expressed outrage over the killing of 26 people and accused Pakistan of continually denying its role in cross-border terrorism. He demanded that the victims of the Pahalgam attack be officially recognised as martyrs and insisted that terrorism must never be politicised.

Recalling past instances of terror, Owaisi cited the 2008 Mumbai attacks and shared a personal memory of a young woman from Telangana who was killed at VT Station. He criticized Pakistan for demanding evidence despite prior incidents such as Pathankot, where India had even allowed a Pakistani delegation to investigate firsthand. “Pakistan shamelessly asks for proof and then takes no action against its terrorists,” he stated.

Owaisi also condemned comments made by retired Bangladeshi Major General ALM Fazlur Rahman, who suggested that Bangladesh should consider occupying India’s northeastern states if India retaliates against Pakistan. He rebuked Rahman’s statement and reminded Bangladesh of the historical role India played in its creation. “Live peacefully in your own country,” Owaisi said, reaffirming that India stands united in the face of such threats.

At another rally, Owaisi asserted that Pakistan and its allies will never allow peace in India and stressed that this was the time to give a decisive answer to terrorism. He also called for Pakistan to be grey-listed by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), warning that the world must no longer ignore Islamabad’s role in harboring extremists.

Commenting on Pakistan’s recent missile tests, Owaisi dismissed the display as futile. “Test whatever you want, but always remember that India is stronger and always will be,” he said, concluding his remarks with a call for national unity in the face of external threats.
