Arrest Made in Arson Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a 33-year-old man from Toronto following an Arson investigation.
On Sunday, December 8, 2024, officers responded to a fire at an industrial building in the area of Tomken Road and Meyerside Drive in Mississauga.
The fire damaged the building and numerous high-end vehicles inside the premises, resulting in approximately $3 million in damage. No injuries were reported.
On Friday, December 13, 2024, members of the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in Toronto.
Mathan Yoseph was arrested without incident and charged with the following offences:
Arson
Break and Enter
Mischief Over $5000 (X2)
Using Explosives
The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
This is believed to be an isolated incident.
