Hockey Coach Charged in Sexual Exploitation Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man concerning a sexual exploitation investigation.
On April 16, 2024, police received information that two young persons who played hockey in a local league were allegedly sexually exploited and lured during their interactions with their coach.
Following an investigation, Joshua Sammut, a 26-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Sexual Exploitation X 2 Child Luring X 2 He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
