Public Assistance Sought in Locating James Shipley-Dean
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking public assistance to locate a suspect in connection with a stabbing incident that took place in the city of Brampton.
In the early hours of June 22, 2024, police responded to an altercation near Haggert Avenue and Denison Avenue in Brampton. On arrival, police located an adult male who had been stabbed. He was transported to a trauma center where he remains in life-threatening condition.
Detectives have tentatively identified a suspect as 35-year-old James Shipley-Dean of Brampton and are seeking a warrant for his arrest for Attempted Murder.
This investigation remains on-going and additional information will be provided in a subsequent media release.
James is urged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the police.
