Public Assistance to Identify Attempted Kidnapping Suspect in Brampton

Region of Peel  – Investigators from 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect following an attempted kidnapping incident in Brampton.

On Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the victim was walking in the area of Williams Parkway and Murray Street in Brampton, when she was approached by a male suspect. The suspect made conversation with the victim and asked her to come with him several times. When she refused, the suspect grabbed her and a struggle ensued. The suspect allegedly threatened the victim with a firearm, but she was able to reach 911 and the suspect fled the scene in a Black Hyundai Elantra.

The suspect is described as a 5’10” East Indian male, with a Punjabi accent, dark complexion and slim build. He is approximately 25-28 years-old, with short black curly hair, a short goatee and brown eyes.
