Stabbing Investigation Results in Seizure of a Firearm
Region of Peel – Investigators from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested two individuals for several firearms offences related to a stabbing investigation.
On May 20, 2024, the victim was engaged in a physical confrontation with a male outside a residence in the area of Bramalea Road and Queen Street in Brampton. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed in the abdomen. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On May 21, 2024, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Brampton in relation to the stabbing investigation. Police seized a Luger 9mm handgun along with a quantity of illegal drugs from the residence, and two parties have been arrested and charged as a result.
Tyrone Stewart, a 34 year-old man from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:
Assault Cause Bodily Harm Unauthorized Possession of a Firearms Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Possession of an Unloaded Restricted Firearm with Readily Accessible Ammunition Tampering with a Serial Number Careless Storage of Firearm Possession of a Controlled Substance Sheree Henry, a 34 year-old woman from Brampton has been charged with the following offences:
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearms Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Possession of an Unloaded Restricted Firearm with Readily Accessible Ammunition Tampering with a Serial Number Careless Storage of Firearm Possession of a Controlled Substance Both charged parties were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
