Police in Mississauga are currently conducting a search for suspects in the wake of a series of residential break-ins that transpired earlier this week. These incidents unfolded during the early morning hours of September 12, even while homeowners were present. The perpetrators allegedly stole vehicle keys from inside the residences with the intention of targeting luxury vehicles parked in driveways and garages.
Authorities are urging residents in the affected area to exercise caution with their vehicles, emphasizing the importance of keeping them securely locked at all times. Additionally, residents are advised to store their keys in a safe location within their homes.
If you have any information pertaining to these break-ins or possess dash camera footage related to the incidents described above and are in the vicinity of the QEW and Mississauga Road, please do not hesitate to contact Peel police.
It’s worth noting that earlier this summer, Peel police made 15 arrests as part of an investigation into an auto theft ring operating in the Greater Toronto Area. This operation, known as “Project Big Rig,” led to the recovery of stolen cargo and 28 stolen tractors.
