Police Seize Guns and Drugs in Brampton Residence Bust

A Brampton resident is facing charges related to firearms and narcotics following a recent search warrant execution carried out as part of a firearms investigation.

The Strategic and Tactical Enforcement Policing (STEP) unit, in collaboration with another tactical team, conducted the search warrant on Monday, September 25, 2023, at a Brampton residence. This operation resulted in the confiscation of firearms and narcotics, as announced by Peel Regional Police in a news release issued on Wednesday.

Xavier Emerson, aged 23 and hailing from Brampton, has been charged with multiple offenses, including unauthorized possession of a prohibited device, possession of a prohibited firearm with readily available ammunition, possession of a weapon in violation of a prohibition order, and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to traffic.

At the time of his apprehension, Emerson was allegedly in violation of two distinct recognizance orders related to firearms and other associated offenses, and he was subject to a weapons prohibition.
