Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1 tsp oil or ghee

  • Salt to taste

  • Water (as needed)

  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, salt, and 1 tsp oil.

  2. Add water little by little to form a stiff but pliable dough.

  3. Cover and let rest for 15-20 minutes.

  4. Divide into small balls and roll each into a small disc (about 4 inches).

  5. Heat oil in a deep pan. When hot, fry each poori one at a time.

  6. Press gently with a spoon to puff. Flip and fry both sides until golden.

  7. Drain and serve hot with aloo curry or halwa.
