As a part of on-going tradition RANA Canada this year also celebrated Holi with colors at Autaq Banquet Hall in Mississauga. This event was fully sold out, in the opening Remarks President of RANA Canada Rashi Bajaj on behalf of the board of directors & RANA Family welcomed everyone on a beautiful cold day Happy Holi, good luck, health and fun filled festival.
Also mentioned Holi is one of the most celebrated festivals not only in India, also throughout the world. It is a festival of colors, fun, love, and happiness, and it celebrates the blossoming of spring whilst marking the end of winter, the joys of love, and the victory of good over evil. It is a time for fun and celebration of the utmost joy and zeal by everyone. On this day, people gather in the streets to sing, dance, and splash coloured water and powders on one another. Which we will be also doing out here later part of the afternoon.
Families and friends will also spend quality time together, share seasonal delicacies, and look forward to new beginnings with optimism and hope. Everyone in our beautiful country Canada celebrates the diversity that makes us strong. Mentioned briefly about RANA- CANADA, RANARajasthan association of North America was formed 15 years ago in 2007, recently celebrated 15 years in Month of October during Annual gala which was attended by more than 550 people and also recognized 11 key people from Rajasthani origin across North America who have done wonders in their respective field.
Rana was formed with objective Promote, preserve, enhance, perpetuate and enrich the cultural heritage of people of Rajasthan origin in Canada, promote Rajasthani language, establish association with similar cultural organization to promote culture, Raise, solicit, participate to collect, and disburse funds for charities. Last year had raised & worked on creating awareness for Breast Cancer and also raise the funds for William Osler foundation, this year on coming Saturday March 25th again doing similar event and raising funds for William Osler foundation, invited everyone on coming Saturday to join this event with family. Funds collected will be 100% donated to William Osler Foundation, as event is fully sponsored by Bajaj Family. Also work on helping new immigrants and students to get connected. Addition to this RANA does many events to connect Youth, Diwali Annual Gala, Holi celebration, Annual Picnic, event for kids and many more. Invited everyone to be part of RANA Family.
Also took the opportunity to Welcome Hon. Stephen Leche, MPP Nina tangri, MPP Deepak Anand, MPP Graham McGregor, MPP Ric Bresee. Appreciated their ongoing support for RANA and your hard work to make Ontario and Canada a better place for all of us. Event was attended by many other distinguished guest including organization head across GTA.
