A spicy, cheesy snack that blends samosa filling with the crunch of jalapeño poppers.
Ingredients:
- 6 large jalapeños, halved and deseeded
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
- ½ cup peas, boiled
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg (for binding) or cornstarch slurry (for a vegetarian option)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Mash the potatoes and mix with peas, spices, and salt.
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the mixture and top with shredded cheese.
- Dip in beaten egg or cornstarch slurry, coat with breadcrumbs, and fry until golden brown.
- Serve hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce.
