Scarborough New View Photo Contest Winners

Last new year’s eve during a snowstorm, the lights of this bakery in the Markham road and Lawrence Avenue east area. really stood out making a cool effect with the snowfall.

SCARBOROUGH: Winners of Scarborough’s New View Photo Contest were announced on Wednesday evening in a virtual awards ceremony co-hosted by Deputy Mayor Michael Thompson.

The photo contest, in partnership with Scarborough Arts, received more than 3,700 entries from new and experienced photographers who captured photos of people, places and things in Scarborough.

The contest was led by Scarborough Arts with support from the City of Toronto, the Ontario Arts Council and XVXY Photo.

Winners were selected by a jury comprised of local Scarborough-based artists and photographers, Anique Jordan and Esmond Lee, and led by Toronto’s Photo Laureate, Michèle Pearson Clarke. Anthony Gebrehiwot, a noted photographer was the creative lead for the photo contest.
