Brampton- The Indian International Seniors Club Brampton hosted the 14th Annual Seniors Fun Fair on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Timberlane Park Brampton (opposite Gurdwara Nanaksar). After a prayer recital, Sukhdeep Kang, CEO of Armor Insurance Brokers, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the fair.
Races were held for boys and girls aged 6-9 years old, 9-11- and 11–15-year-old. Trophies were also given to those who came first, second, and third.
This was followed by 100-meter and 200-meter races for men aged 55–60, 60–65, and 65 and above. which the large number of spectators watched with great enthusiasm. Women’s races for those aged 55-60, 60-65-, and 100-meters races over 65 were conducted and they were cheered on by the spectators. .
This was followed by a match between Musical Chair 55 and its older men and women which was thoroughly enjoyed by the children and elderly. At the same time, a children’s kabaddi and women’s vulture game made the program even more interesting.
Throughout the event, Regional Councillor Martin Medeiros, Councillor Jeff Woman, Gurpreet Dhillon, Harkirat Singh, MPP Prabhmeet Singh Sarkaria, and Sherman Williams, MP Sonia Sidhu Brampton South, former MP Amrit Mangat, reached out and encouraged the seniors. The club was also honored with a certificate.
The International Seniors Clubhas been operational for a long time under the presidency of Maghar Singh. They also help seniors fill out all kinds of immigration papers, obtain citizenship, and a variety of other documents.. Benefits funding is also paid by the government.
The fair was specially organized by Sukhdeep Kang, CEO, Armor Insurance Brokers.
Other local businesses also distributed various gifts through a lottery. and included items like microwaves, grills, coffee makers, etc.The president of the club, Maghar Singh, proposed a vote of thanks after the event.
