Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged seven individuals in connection with drug trafficking and disorderly public behavior in Mississauga’s Cooksville neighborhood. The arrests follow a targeted police initiative aimed at curbing illegal activity in the area.

Authorities launched Project Due Diligence in late November after receiving numerous complaints from residents and business owners about ongoing criminal activity near Hurontario Street and Dundas Street. According to police, these issues had led to a rise in violent incidents, negatively impacting the local community.

Superintendent Harry Dhillon of Peel’s 12 Division emphasized that the project was not just about enforcement but also about strengthening ties with residents and businesses to maintain an open dialogue regarding public safety concerns. As part of the operation, officers executed multiple search warrants, resulting in the seizure of significant quantities of illegal cannabis, suspected cocaine, and over $50,000 in cash.

The individuals charged in connection with the investigation are Mississauga residents Kingsley Kelly (56), Kyle Williams (22), John-Ross Harris (38), Amir Abuhmaid (25), and Craig Dhu (31), as well as Brampton residents Glenroy Neubie (35) and Ralph Nembhard (32). All seven face multiple drug-related charges.

As part of their court-ordered conditions, the accused are prohibited from being near the Hurontario-Dundas area. Police continue to investigate and encourage anyone with further information to contact Peel Regional Police’s 12 Division Community Incident Response Team at 905-453-2121, ext. 1200, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
