Suspect for Identification Following Commercial Robbery in Richmond Hill

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking the
public’s assistance in identifying a suspect following a commercial robbery in
the City of Richmond Hill.

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded
to reports of a commercial robbery in the area of Forestwood Street and Major
Mackenzie Drive West. On scene, officers learned a masked male entered the
store, brandished a firearm and stole a quantity of cash.

The suspect fled before police arrived at the scene.

The victim was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as male, with a dark complexion, approximately 6’3” to
6’5” tall, between the ages of 28 and 30. He was last seen wearing a black ski
mask, black gloves, a red jacket and black shoes with white soles. He was seen
carrying a black firearm with silver trim.
