For the third consecutive night, Pakistan launched drone attacks targeting key regions in northern India, prompting widespread blackouts and reports of explosions across multiple cities. According to initial reports, drones were spotted over Jammu, Pathankot, Samba, Jaisalmer, and Barmer, while additional disruptions were reported in Srinagar and Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan.

Military sources confirmed that Indian air defense systems were actively intercepting the incoming drones, while residents in affected areas described power outages, loud blasts, and ongoing air activity. Explosions were reported in Jammu, Poonch, Barmer, and the strategic testing site of Pokhran. Simultaneously, Pakistani forces stationed along the Line of Control intensified artillery fire targeting Akhnoor, Samba, and Poonch.

A particularly loud blast was recorded over Srinagar at 9:22 pm, while residents in Amritsar reported heavy aerial movement. Verified footage from Barmer showed drones in flight, and in Jaisalmer, sirens were heard as explosions echoed in the distance.

In a public statement, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah urged residents to stay indoors and remain calm. “Please stay off the streets, stay at home or at the nearest safe location for the next few hours,” he posted on social media. “Ignore rumours, don’t spread unverified stories, and we will get through this together.”

The situation remains fluid as Indian armed forces continue to respond to the escalating cross-border threat with countermeasures and vigilance.
