Arrests Made in Firearms Investigation, Kennedy Road and Lawrence Avenue East area, Image Released

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of arrests made in a firearms investigation.
Members of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force commenced an investigation in relation to individuals allegedly involved in the illegal possession of firearms. As a result of the investigation, officers applied for and were granted Criminal Code search warrants for a residence and motor vehicle in the City of Toronto.
As a result of the investigation, police also seized two loaded handguns and a loaded assault rifle. An image of the seized firearms has been released.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, three adults and one youth were arrested in the Kennedy Road and Lawrence Avenue East area.
Jushaii Reid, 21, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime

Possession of a Prohibited Device
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
Justice Townsend, 21, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
Possession of a Prohibited Device
Careless Storage of a Firearm
Carrying a Concealed Weapon
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
Trayvon Reid, 23, of Ajax, was arrested and charged with:

Fail to Comply with Probation
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
A Youth* was arrested and charged with:

They were scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 606.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, a fourth adult was also arrested in relation to the investigation.
