Male, 17*, Arrested in a Firearms Investigation, Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West area

The Toronto Police Service is advising the public of an arrest made in a firearms investigation.
On Sunday, August 18, 2024, at approximately 2:03 a.m., police attended a call for a Person with a Gun, in the Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West area.
It is alleged that:
the suspect was located at a residential address and arrested
upon the arrest a loaded Glock 23 with a high capacity magazine was seized along with ammunition
A male youth, 17* years old, of Toronto, has been charged with:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Possession of firearm, knowing its possession is unauthorized
Possession of a restricted firearm
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
Possession of a prohibited device knowing its possession is prohibited
Careless storage of a firearm
An image of the firearm and ammunition has been released.
He appeared in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 107.
