Man and Woman Arrested in Retail Robbery Investigation, Dundas Street West and The East Mall area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of two arrests made in a jewellery store Robbery investigation.
On Monday, July 15, 2024, at approximately 4:54 p.m., police responded to a Robbery call in the Dundas Street West and The East Mall area.
It is alleged that:
four suspects travelling in a stolen vehicle attended a mall
three suspects wearing masks to disguise their identities entered the mall and approached a jewellery store
one suspect produced a hammer and began smashing glass display cases
they took a quantity of jewellery and fled the area in the stolen vehicle
Shortly afterwards, responding officers located the stolen vehicle in the Eglinton Avenue West and The East Mall area. The vehicle began driving erratically until it lost control and rolled onto its side. Members of 22 Division, Traffic Services (TSV) and Police Dog Services (PDS), were able to take two suspects into custody. Members of the Hold Up Squad commenced their investigation.
It is further alleged that:
at the time of the arrests, officers recovered some of the stolen jewellery and other items of evidentiary value related to the investigation
Mohammad Wahedi, 18, of Toronto, was charged with:
Robbery With Offensive Weapon
Disguise With Intent
Assault With Intent to Resist Arrest
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
Dangerous Operation of Conveyance
Flight While Pursued by Police
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 10 a.m., Room 102.
Chris Aimable, 18, of Mississauga, was charged with:
Robbery With Offensive Weapon
Disguise With Intent
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over
Fail to Comply With Release Order
She was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 10 a.m., Room 102.
No further description is provided for the two outstanding robbery suspects.
