Man Arrested at Demonstration, Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made at a demonstration.
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, police were in the Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West area for a demonstration.
It is alleged that:
the suspect attended the area to counter-demonstrate
the suspect was stomping on an Israeli flag across the street from a large crowd of demonstrators
the suspect was cautioned by police for breach of peace
the suspect continued to drag and stomp on the flag
the suspect was subsequently placed under arrest
David Shultz, 40, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:
Obstruct Peace Officer
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2pm, in room 201.
