The Toronto Police Service is notifying the public of an arrest made in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at approximately 8 p.m., police responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Bay Street and Temperance Street area.
It is reported that:
at approximately 2:50 p.m., the suspect approached the victim in a public washroom
the suspect sexually assaulted the victim
the suspect then left the washroom in an unknown direction

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, Midhat Cehovic, 60, of Vaughan, was arrested and charged with:
Sexual Assault
He is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11 a.m., in room 203.
