Public Safety Alert: Objects Thrown at Vehicles, Pottery Road and Broadview Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of a Mischief investigation.
Between December 2023 and July 2024, police received several reports of Mischief in the Pottery Road and Broadview Avenue area.
In March, 2024, it was reported that:
two motorists reported damage to their vehicles by falling objects
officers determined that the vehicles were damaged by various sizes of metal BBs and glass marbles
it is unknown where these objects originated from or who is responsible
there were no reported injuries
there is no suspect info at this time
It is further reported that in July 2024:
a motorist reported damage to their vehicle by falling objects
unknown person(s) continue to throw objects, including glass, ball bearings, and marbles, from a balcony onto vehicles travelling along Pottery Road
Drivers, pedestrians, and cyclist in the area are urged to use caution and to be vigilant as police continue to investigate. Members of the public are encouraged to report any incidents to police.
