Three Men and a Male Youth Arrested in an Attempt Carjacking Investigation, Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 area, Images released

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of four arrests made in an attempt Carjacking Robbery.
On Sunday, September 15, 2024, four suspects were involved in an attempt Car Jacking Robbery in the Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 area.
It is alleged that:
a victim was at a bank when he was approached by three masked suspects
one suspect pointed a handgun at him and demanded keys
an altercation took place and the victim was struck in the head with a handgun
the victim managed to fight off the suspects who fled back to their vehicle and drove off
The victim called 9-1-1 and was able to provide information on the suspect vehicles’ direction of travel. Division 23 officers responded quickly and were able to locate and stop the vehicle. Three males and a male youth were taken into custody. A search resulted in the seizure of a firearm and a replica firearm. Images have been released.
Amidullah Baluch, 25, of Toronto, was charged with:

Assault with a Weapon
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Room 105 at 10:00 a.m.
Joel Cowan, 19, of Whitby, was charged with:
Robbery with a Firearm
Disguise with Intent
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Room 105 at 10:00 a.m.
Isaiah Vandeberg, 18, of No Fixed Address, was charged with:
Robbery with a Firearm
Disguise with Intent
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a Firearm knowing its Unauthorized
Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
Carry Concealed Weapon
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Room 105 at 10:00 a.m.
Male Youth, 16*, of Toronto, was charged with:
Robbery with a Firearm
Disguise with Intent
Fail to Comply with Disposition
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Room 107 at 10:00 a.m.
