Two Men Wanted in ATM Distraction Theft Investigation, Spadina Road and Heath Street area, Images Released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two male suspects in a Distraction Theft investigation.
On Thursday, June 6, 2024, police responded to a call for a fraud in the Spadina Road and Heath Street area.
It is reported that:
on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the elderly victim, an 88 year old man attended an ATM
the suspects entered the ATM vestibule behind the victim
one suspect used the ATM machine next to the victim, while the other distracted the victim, simulating that he was falling.
the victim assisted the suspect up, while the other swapped the victim’s debit card from the ATM machine
Subsequently, the suspects proceeded to make several purchases, in addition to cash withdrawals, in the amount exceeding $10,000.
Investigators believe there are other victims.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1: male, late 30’s, medium build, wearing a ball cap, collared stripped long sleeve dress shirt, jeans and running shoes.
Suspect #2 male, late 30’s, medium build, wearing a ball cap, dark blue short sleeved collared shirt, jeans and running shoes.
