MISSISSAUGA: More than eight months after opening their first COVID-19 vaccine clinic, Trillium Health Partners (THP) administered the final doses to the public on August 31 as they suspend their community vaccine clinic to support the careful and gradual resumption of hospital services.
Since opening the first clinic on December 21, 2020, THP has administered more than 493,000 total doses at our Pandemic Response Unit, Mississauga Hospital vaccine clinic, and University Toronto Mississauga (UTM) mass vaccination clinic.
“We want to thank our amazing clinic staff, partners and community for helping us reach this incredible milestone,” a Trillium spokesperson said.
The Region of Peel continues to administer first AND second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with walkin availability at all public health clinics. The vaccines are free andou do not need a health card to get the vaccine.
Trillium also said that COVID-19 vaccination will be mandatory for all THP staff, professional staff, volunteers and learners. This excludes those with an approved medical exemption or accommodation.
