Public transit will run on modified schedules. MiWay and Brampton Transit will operate on holiday schedules on Good Friday, April 18. GO Transit will follow its Saturday schedule that day. Peel TransHelp trips for April 18 and 19 must be pre-booked by 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 17. Subscription trips will be canceled on Good Friday, except for dialysis-related travel. Riders can reach TransHelp at transhelp@peelregion.ca or 905-791-1015.

Libraries and Community Centres

All Brampton and Caledon library branches will be closed on April 18, 20, and 21. Mississauga libraries will be closed on April 18 and 20; however, branches typically open on Mondays will resume operations on April 21.

Peel Region offices and non-emergency services will shut down on Good Friday, April 18, and reopen on Monday, April 21. The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will be closed Friday but open on Easter Monday.

For urgent needs related to homelessness — including food, supplies, and shelter — residents can call the street helpline at 1-877-848-8481 or access emergency shelter information at 905-450-1996 or through Peel’s housing web page.

Other closed services on Friday, April 18 include:

  • Service Peel and Service Ontario counters

  • Dental services and clinics

  • Early years and child care services

  • Family health call centre

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and check with individual services or facilities for the most up-to-date hours and availability.
