As we approach the end of 2023, automakers have already unveiled most of their new offerings for the upcoming year. This means that many beloved cars, trucks, and SUVs will not be making it to 2024.
Luxury brands like Audi and Mercedes-Benz are retiring several models as they prepare to introduce new products. Meanwhile, American automakers such as Chrysler and Dodge are discontinuing vehicles to make way for the electric vehicle (EV) revolution. Even a few supercars will not be sticking around, some to be replaced by more powerful successors.
More vehicles are likely to join this list in the coming year, but for now, let’s bid farewell to these departing automotive icons:
**1. Alpina BMW B7:** The Alpina B7, based on the BMW 7 Series, won’t see a direct successor based on the current generation as Alpina cedes control to BMW after 2025.
**2. Audi R8:** Audi’s enduring supercar is officially winding down production after 16 years spanning two generations.
**3. Audi TT:** The iconic Audi TT sports car will say its goodbyes after 25 years, with the UK seeing a Final Edition model in 2023.
**4. Chevrolet Bolt EV:** The first-generation Chevrolet Bolt, known for its affordability, receives a temporary farewell as Chevrolet promises a new Bolt riding atop its advanced Ultium EV platform.
