Adonis marked the official opening of its third store in Ontario and second in Mississauga yesterday. The supermarket, launched after 4 months of intensive work, is located on Dundas St. West, at 2651 Stanfield Rd.
Since the announcement of the partnership with METRO in October 2011, Adonis development continues both in Quebec and Ontario with this 13th supermarket, the 9th to open since the beginning of the partnership. This opening is part of an ambitious growth plan that will spread the banner’s presence in Ontario.
With its 45,892 square feet, the Dundas St. supermarket employs more than 150 people and represents an investment of $10 million. Consumers will enjoy the multicultural shopping experience synonymous with the Adonis brand, as customers have enjoyed it at all its other locations.
Customers will appreciate the buffet-style counter of freshly-cooked hot and grilled foods, a patio and a 50-seat eating area where they can relax and enjoy the supermarket’s products, a wide variety of fresh produce, a spacious nut-and-olive counter and a great selection of fresh meats and marinated products. There are also counters for seafood and fresh cheese. In addition, Adonis also offers a variety of Middle-Eastern, honey and French cakes and pastries, as well as an organic products section.
Several types of high-quality Mediterranean pizzas cooked on-site can be taken out or savoured in the bistro area, and crèpes and freshly squeezed juice are also available.
Wessam Amir, the store manager who has been with Adonis for 6 years, invites everyone in the area to come discover the store.
