Region of Peel, June 2 – Officers from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are currently investigating a shooting in Brampton, that led to the death of a man.
On Monday, May 30, 2022, at approximately 10:26 p.m., emergency services received a call for a shooting in the area of Bramalea Road & Bovaird Drive in Brampton. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate any victims in that area. At 11:09 p.m., police received a call for a man who was located without vital signs in the greenspace area of Heart Lake Road and Copperfield Road in Brampton. The victim was located and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Shem St. Marie, a 23-year-old man of no fixed address.
At this time there is no suspect information available to share, however this is believed to be an isolated incident.
