BRAMPTON, Ont. Police have identified a man and woman involved in an alleged murder-suicide west of Toronto.
Investigators allege Navdeep Singh, a 35-year-old man from Brampton, Ont., killed 27-year-old Sharanjeet Kaur then took his own life.
They say no other suspects are sought, but the investigation continues.
Peel Regional Police Insp. Marty Ottaway says they responded to a medical call at 2:09 p.m. on Monday in Brampton.
He says a friend reported the woman missing to Toronto police on Sunday.
Ottaway says the pair had an intimate relationship in the past, but that they’ve so far found no warning signs.
He says Toronto police tracked the victim’s movements through her phone then asked Peel Regional Police for help.
Ottaway says the force has investigated 13 domestic homicides this year, but that includes all familial murders.
