Public Assistance in Locating Homicide Culprit
Region of Peel – Detectives from the Homicide Bureau are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a man wanted in connection with a homicide.
On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, police responded to an apartment complex near Bovaird Drive and Creditview Road in Brampton for reports of an altercation between two adult males. During the incident, the victim was fatally stabbed. The culprit fled the scene.
The victim and culprit are known to each other, and this was not a random act.
The culprit has been identified as 49-year-old Andrew Galea, who has no fixed address. He is wanted for Second Degree Murder.
As this incident involved a weapon, members of the public who see Andrew should consider him armed; they are reminded to dial 9-1-1 immediately and not to approach.
