2014 New Year’s Baby Arrives at Etobicoke General Hospital
2014 New Year’s Baby Arrives at Etobicoke General Hospital  Etobicoke General Hospital welcomed its first baby of 2014 early this morning. Joycelyn Darfor of Thornhill delivered a baby girl, Gracie, at 3:55 a.m., weighing in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces. Gracie is the second child for Joycelyn and her husband Jacob. She joins big brother Jeremy, at home. With the best wishes of William Osler Health System (Osler), the family received warm congratulations and a large gift basket of baby items that were generously donated by Shoppers Drug Mart (Highway 10 and Mayfield branch in Brampton) and the Metro Punjabi Sports Club. Many families choose to commemorate the birth of a child at Osler by adding their baby’s name to the “Welcome to the World†Donor Walls at Brampton Civic and Etobicoke General Hospitals. These walls are located in the Maternal Newborn areas and recognize donations of $100 and more, but in the spirit of new beginnings, William Osler Health System Foundation plans to ensure that the names of both babies and their special January 1, 2014 birth dates are also listed there. Osler is comprised of Brampton Civic Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital, and its labor and delivery program is one of the largest in Ontario. Each year, Osler delivers over 7,500 babies
