TORONTO: The ALLSTYLE, a 360-foot long, 60-foot high mural painting was unveiled at Downsview Park on Saturday. ALLSTYLE is a massive mural collaboration creating space for BIPOC street artists, graffiti writers and muralists to express their best selves, cultural identity, and unique style with the aim to unite our communities. The mural brings together nine talented artists from across the style spectrum, shining light on all styles of mural expression, exploring themes of ancestry, ethnicity as well as inner strength and radiating one’s internal shine. It features the work of Curtia Wright, Danilo Deluxo, Elicser Elliott, Jacquie Comrie, Kreecha, MEDIAH, Moises Frank (Luvs), Ness Lee, and Yung Yemi (Adeyemi Adegbesan).
ALLSTYLE is a part of ALL CITY SHINE, a year long BIPOC street art exhibition curated by Danilo Deluxo at Downsview Park. From the massive 360 ft. mural to surrounding architecture, to digital works, artist interviews and multidisciplinary pieces, it uses public spaces as a canvas of expression for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian and BIPOC artists to shine individually and collectively.
