The Weekly Voice is a proud publication of the Voice Media Group, rolling off the press for the first time on the first Saturday of May 1997. We are dedicated to serving the South Asian community in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), estimated to be over 1.8 million strong and poised to become the largest ethnic group in Canada. Our community is diverse, comprising immigrants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and people of Indian origin from Africa, Europe, Guyana, the Caribbean, and the Persian Gulf, all sharing a common cultural bond and possessing significant purchasing power.
As the leading provider of information and entertainment news and views for the South Asian community in the GTA, we have a multi-media presence that includes a weekly English newspaper, a weekly Punjabi newspaper, a state-of-the-art radio channel, a community web portal, a weekly newsletter, and a high-traffic Facebook page. In addition, we also have VNN Canada, our television, YouTube, and Canadian website (vnncanada.com), providing news, videos, interviews, podcasts, and more for the Canadian South Asian community.
We also offer two alternate versions of this website: AwaazPunjabi, located at AwaazPunjabi.com, which is our weekly Punjabi newspaper and website, and Awaaz Hindi, which is our Hindi language version of the website.
Our multi-media presence also includes RadioVoice 101.3 FM, our weekday radio show for South Asians with legendary hosts in the community. Broadcasting from 3-5 PM Monday to Friday, RadioVoice 101.3 FM has a significant impact on the South Asian community and is broadcast in Hindi, English, and Gujurati.
The Weekly Voice is the largest circulated South Asian community newspaper in the GTA, with an audited circulation of 30,300 copies as verified by Canadian Media Circulation Audit. Our broadsheet format features dedicated sections on news, automotive, entertainment, and real estate, and is printed at The Metroland Press, one of the best printing presses in North America.
