Tragedy struck in Mississauga on Saturday morning as one person lost their life and two others were hospitalized following a collision. The incident occurred just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Derry and Argentia roads, involving two vehicles.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where Peel paramedics initially reported that three individuals were taken to the hospital, with two in critical condition. Sadly, a 55-year-old female passenger from Mississauga succumbed to her injuries. The female driver of the vehicle remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. Notably, this is the second serious collision in the same area within a month.
As investigations continue, the intersection has been closed in all directions, with the Major Collision Bureau overseeing the inquiry.
