Man Arrested in Robbery Investigation, Islington Avenue and Dixon Road area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Robbery investigation.
On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, police responded to a call for a robbery in the Islington Avenue and Dixon Road area.
It is alleged that:
the suspect entered a business wearing a mask to disguise his identity
the suspect produced a knife and jumped over the counter
the suspect then confronted the employee and made a demand for narcotics
the suspect was unable to obtain narcotics due to a time-delayed safe
the suspect then grabbed a quantity of prescription drugs and fled the scene
Members of the Hold Up Squad commenced an investigation and were able to identify the suspect.
On Thursday, May 9, 2024, members of the Hold Up Squad executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant in relation to the investigation. The suspect was located and taken into custody.
It is further alleged that:
at the time of the search, officers recovered items of evidentiary value related to the investigation
Jacob Treadwell, 25, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:
Robbery
Disguise with Intent
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 107.
