(Sewak Singh Manak): Feb. 03/2020. Mississauga. It is always a struggle to establish yourself in a new country. New people, new life new responsibilities. What is sacrificed during this period is your personal time and hobbies. Hobbies that can give you name and fame are put onto the “back-burner” and often forgotten. Establishing yourself, your family and integration into the new society kills your dreams.
To keep your inner passion alive in singing and art is even harder during the settlement period. …and all this was felt by Mrs. Samita Sampat. She felt the pain herself but decided to help others in the same squeeze. She keeps herself busy by promoting new singers and talent.
Past weekend she organized a very heart-warming family style musical night where closely knitted friends with similar interest gathered to promote each other. The golden oldies recreated the same mystical magic, songs of golden era of Bollywood by in MannaDey melody -Sadiq, the Hemant-Kumar jadoo created Rajiv Sood, the echo of Lataji -Shubha, the young and charming Deep Kaur and Amit Verma, heart touching voice of Mukesh all created a powerful intoxicating atmosphere. The famous songs played on harmonica by Bhaskar and the list goes on and on.
Rajiv Sood who started TMG (Toronto Musical) Group gives a platform to new and old singers and artistes whatever they play found a close ally for his ambitions when he got connected with Samita & Shailesh Sampat who are very talented in networking. Together they have established Sur Sangam Melodious Makers, a non-profit support group to provide platform for such rising stars. If you think you can sing or play a musical instrument you can join the group GTA Networking & Social Life and contribute your wealth of talent to our rich heritage.
