TORONTO: The Consulate-General of India along with the Bharat Centre of Canada (a prominent think tank) is organizing a five-day exclusive program called Celebrate India @75.

10 am – 12 noon EST
This program is open to high school students, college and university students, entrepreneurs, executives from different fields of work and those interested in India.
There will be Certificates, Scholarships, and Free ‘Know Your India’ Trips to India for lucky participants.
A program spokesperson said: ” Canada and India have longstanding bilateral relationships built upon shared traditions of democracy, pluralism, strong interpersonal connections and people-to-people ties. The two countries have embarked on a process aimed at improving and expanding their bilateral ties.
“Canada has major economic and cultural ties with India. Today, India is one of the world’s fastest-growing economies with a rising population, per capita income, with rapid expansion in industrial, science, technology, and in innovation sectors. The program deliberations will provide an understanding of how to enhance the scope of cooperation and engagement. The aim is to, highlight existing collaborations and to articulate the factors underpinning success.”
The Program provides students a sound basis in a range of essential areas of knowledge. The structure of the program allows a student to complete the Program giving an overview and understanding about India as an emerging power.
